Discover the tools to love and nurture yourself with the healing movements of yoga, master breath techniques to relieve anxiety, remove deep-seated negative mindsets with Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) and learn to still and observe your busy mind with meditation. This retreat is open to women of all experience levels and ages.

Two nights’ accommodation in one of our luxury Bush rooms ~ sharing and single room options available. Healthy, delicious, and nutritious meals made from locally sourced ingredients to nourish and fuel your body. Limited spaces available.

Retreat outline:

  1. Yoga classes - no experience (at all!) required as we gently stretch our bodies to release tension, release emotional scars and move towards healing

  2. Meditation - learn meditation techniques for quieting, and mastering, your mind to move away from self-sabotaging beliefs and harmful learned childhood conditioning

  3. Conscious breathwork - learn practices for overcoming anxiety and how to use your breath to bring balance to your mind and emotions

  4. Yoga Nidra - guided relaxations for removing the emotional scars holding us back from being the best versions of ourselves

  5. Women’s Circle - through our common and shared connections as women, we explore and learn to love and accept our unique selves in a safe and loving space

  6. Journaling - for reflection and self-love, and the establishing of growth-mindset habits

Anxiety workshop for teens - R750pp

Saturday, 19 March from 9am – 12pm

Athlone, Pietermaritzburg

A 3-hr workshop providing teens with the knowledge to understand their anxiety & the tools to learn to self-regulate, self-soothe & begin the journey to loving & accepting themselves.

Anxiety disorders affect 25.1% of teens between 13 & 18 years old. Some of the symptoms include:

  • Constant worry/ stress

  • Hyper-focused on perfectionism

  • Upset stomach

  • Migraine/ headaches

  • Withdrawal from hobbies

  • Meltdowns/ panic attacks

  • Emotional outbursts

  • Constant need for approval & reassurance

  • Avoiding school

  • Avoiding socializing/ social anxiety

Workshop outline:

  1. Mindful movement/ yoga asanas - for releasing tension in the body

  2. Journaling – prompts and tools; learning the benefits of regular journaling as a tool for understanding mindsets, patterns and growth

  3. Breathwork – as the foundation of self-care, and learning the tools to use the breath to self-soothe

  4. Affirmations – understanding the power of our words, and how affirmations can be used to create the life you want

  5. Meditation – taking the mystery out of meditation and providing easy and effective meditation tools to use every day

  6. Gratitude tools – providing insight into the power of living with either a negative or positive mindset, understanding the action and re-action effect, and teaching ways to shift thinking to take responsibility for our own happiness and lives.
